Welcome to the Yardley Hastings Benefice website
Unfortunately, in light of the Covid-19 restrictions, our usual pattern of Sunday services and other mid-week gatherings is suspended. But this does not mean that the Church of England has shut up shop.
Although there are no services in our churches, there are many places we can access live-streamed services and other resources:-
The Archbishop of Canterbury has launched a free telephone line, Daily Hope, to give more people access to worship, prayer, and reflections while churches are closed. Daily Hope is available 24 hours a day. It provides Church of England prayers, hymns, and reflections for those who dial in. The number is 0800 8048044.

Daylight Centre Wellingborough FOODBANK plea for help
Demand for the Daylight Centre’s food parcel delivery service has been growing enormously since the Covid-19 lockdown began. They're now delivering well over 100 parcels each week, and the number keeps on going up. At a time when many collection points are closed, such as our churches, it is putting an added strain on their store cupboard. Currently, they only have one to two weeks of supplies. In addition, they have started a once-a-day hot ready meals delivery service to the homeless who have been put in temporary accommodation with little or no catering facilities.
Donations can be put in the grey/green collection boxes at Tesco and Sainsbury's (behind the tills) in Wellingborough, or left outside the green storage container at the Daylight Centre between 9.30am and 12.30pm, Mondays to Fridays, ringing the Foodbank doorbell to let them know there's a donation.
It is a difficult time - some people are struggling to get their own shopping because of the "Stay at Home" restrictions and others are struggling to afford to put food on their tables, due to their pre-existing financial circumstances and/or the impact of the lockdown on their job, so not everyone can help in this way. So if you are able, please consider donating, even if you never have before!
Financial donations would also be greatly welcomed, as the monies can be used to fill in store cupboard gaps and fund the ready meals service. Here is a link to the online donations page. Donations should be marked "foodbank". http://www.daylightcf.org/donate-online/
